More Than We Remember by Christina Suzann Nelson

This story is about three women whose lives are turned on end as a result of a fatal car accident. Emilia is deputy who was first at the scene. Addison is the local coach’s wife and he is the one responsible for the accident. Brianne is Addison’s next door neighbor. She is a psychologist who is still reeling from a patient’s suicide. All three of these women’s life are in turmoil for one reason or another and they eventually find common ground and friendship and realize nothing was exactly how it had seemed. I really enjoyed this one!

Finding the Broken Cowboy by Cassidy Hanton

Beatrice Foster is on hand when her parents are shot and soon finds out the killer is after her as well. She goes to hide at her Uncle’s farm in Montana until the killer is found. While there she meets a local rancher, Nathan Walsh. The whole town thinks he’s a hero but she thinks he is rude. This was a very entertaining book. There’s the romance between the big city girl and the rancher as well as a mystery that keeps one on tenterhooks until the killer is revealed. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes this genre.

Hid from Our Eyes by Julia Spencer-Fleming

This is a great suspense mystery about a small town police department from the 1950s to the present. Three police chiefs had very similar cases years apart. All involve unidentified girls found in unusual circumstances in the same spot on a country road.

All the characters are colorful individuals with their own stories that make them very fun to read about. And the ending is totally unexpected for most of the book and still a little unexpected at the conclusion. I really enjoyed reading this book and recommend it to anyone who likes a good mystery

The Secrets They Left Behind by Lissa Marie Redmond

Shea O’Conner, a police officer who has helped the FBI before as an undercover officer, is called in on another case. She looks very young and can easily pass as a co-ed. Three female college students from a small town disappeared one night and the case has grown cold. So Shea is sent to be a student at the local Community College and become friend with the crowd those girls were part of. As she pursues the case it gets curiouser and curiouser.

The Last Tourist by Olen Steinhauer

This book was a little hard to get into at first. It is about international intrigue and undercover government operations in the present day. Once I established what was going on and who was who it became very interesting. Lots of food for thought here. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes this genre.

The Janes by Louisa Luna

PI Alice Vega and her favorite partner Max Caplan, former police officer, are called in to help with a police investigation into two unidentified females found deceased. But the Police and other officials want to pay them under the table. Vega uses some unconventional methods of obtaining information but is highly successful. It becomes apparent fairly quickly though that there is something going on that is not above board. The local cop that is assisting in the investigation has never seen his chief act the way he is about this particular investigation.

This was a captivating read and kept me riveted on the story. I highly recommend this book.

Hurry Home by Roz Nay

This is a very gripping story of two sisters, one a Child Services social worker and the other a recovering addict who is pregnant and fleeing domestic abuse. The sisters have a troubled past and one is trying to make amends. This book has some unexpected twists and turns and is a great read! I highly recommend it.
