This is another Dani Pettrey home run! This story involves
the Coast Guard, most especially Coast Guard Investigative Service agent Finn
Walker and his unit when they have to investigate the death of one of their
own. Meanwhile, Gabby, Finn’s boss’
sister, a reporter, comes to stay under Finn’s protection because someone who
was convicted of a crime due to a story she wrote is trying to kill her. Of course, being a reporter, she can’t seem
to keep her nose out of the investigation and makes Finn’s life more complicated
and gets herself into danger as well.
Dani Pettrey’s books are always full of suspense and
interesting characters and I look forward to each new installment as they come
out in her series.
